Couch King and I came up with this track together – so we decided to post it on both our profiles.

As he wrote the lyrics, it’s only right to let him have his say here:
“The fall of 2025 was an intense time in the United States. Everyday I drive from Portland to Forest Grove for work. I pass through the suburbs of Beaverton and the agricultural lands of Hillsboro and Forest Grove. Many migrant workers can be seen working the land during the day time and many of the children of migrant workers attend the school I work at. During this tense time, I saw many ice vehicles on the road going to work and coming home. I saw many cars being pulled over by ice. Families weren’t sending their kids to school. Some coworkers were becoming activists. So it is no surprise to me that I got pulled over by ice one early morning on the way to work. I am used to being pulled over by police though. I was pulled over in my youth many times for little things and then asked to open my trunk and glove compartment, lol. I was pulled out of my car, pushed up against my trunk, frisked, and asked many questions about my place of birth. I am many generations deep in this country though and they let me go.
Others, as you know, had much worse experiences.
May all people be treated with respect and dignity and humanity.“
Lyrics
Been heard that
No knock
On my door
Before
My ancestors
Been on this rock
More than yours
Word is on the floor
We undeterred
We’re still goin’ ta walk this block through the pain afterword
Then again not the first time being slurred
So y’all can feign alright and undisturbed
When we’re detained arraigned and transferred
Out this land
Been plundered
We gone amass mass to light up like the sun
We done run enough melting has begun
Everyone been dealting with harassation
Gather up bright ignite heat it up ‘till it’s done
Gather up bright ignite heat it up ‘till it’s done
From operation wetback to operation black rose
From railroads to gold mines then back to Juan Crows
Inflows of braceros for greenbacks to grows
Turn a blind eye for cheap vegetables
But turn up your nose to baggy clothes in pintos
Funny your pintado like dem pintos
Say they don’t assimilate while cultures transpose
Always gonna be vilified I suppose
We gone amass mass to light up like the sun
We done run enough melting has begun
We gone amass mass to light up like the sun
We done run enough melting has begun
Everyone been dealting with harassation
Gather up bright ignite heat it up ‘till it’s done
Gather up bright ignite heat it up ‘till it’s done
I’m looking over my
Shoulder
You never know
Who’s cookin’ to
Try bookin’
Even if I’m a
Cardholder
Even if I’m a
Landholder
Still catchin’ ’em
Saying I’m a
Freeloader
Watchin’ me
Pass by the other day
They gettin’ bolder
Humming cucaracha
And thinkin’ they sly
Turn the other way to deny
Considered approaching to ask why
Encroaching on my
Chill while I’m still looking fly
And bet that
I try to forget that
But I feel the past won’t comply
It’s a set back
Back decades
They would of thought I was a wetback
Always getting high
Decry the loco weed
To terrify
Imply it would dive me to make a man die
Otherwise simplified as filthy
Guilty of turning your city to a pigsty
Vilified
For generations
Insurgent emergent emergency
Convergent urgent urgency
Errant deterrent hyperbole
Reemergent ethnic deterency
Internment merchant burgeoning
Divergent recurrent refervency look now they
Stopping me without even IDing me
Crooks how they copping me even though I was born here
Even though I was born here
Even though I was born here
Generations
For generations
